Built work and Studios

This page brings together projects rooted in fabrication, production, and the creation of physical environments. Alongside my sculptural practice, I have worked extensively in building large-scale installations, founding creative studios, and leading collaborative production across art, music, and public space. These projects reflect an ongoing interest in systems, infrastructure, and the intersection between making, community, and spatial experience.

Fabrication Lead

Temple Anam Cara, 2023

Temple Anam Cara was a large-scale ceremonial structure created for Burning Man in 2023. Drawing from the symbolism of the Celtic Tree of Life and the form of an Aztec step pyramid. Inspired by the concept of the anam cara, or “soul friend,” the project explores shared spiritual traditions and collective experience through architecture, light, and immersive space.

I led the structural steel fabrication team, overseeing the fabrication and assembly of key structural elements and coordinating technical workflows within a multidisciplinary crew of artists, builders, and collaborators. The temple incorporated murals, interactive elements, and integrated LED systems to create a welcoming sanctuary for reflection, community, and ceremony.

Can Daddy, 2025

I constructed a 3-meter-tall groundhog sculpture, affectionately named Can Daddy, built from over 4,000 Lipton Hard Iced Tea cans as part of a promotional campaign. The mobile installation toured throughout Pennsylvania, combining large-scale fabrication with experiential brand activation.

Portola Festival, 2024

I led the fabrication and build process for a series of designed hangout and gathering environments at the 2024 Portola Music Festival in San Francisco, overseeing production from fabrication through installation.

Fatty & Co

Lakers Media Day, 2022

Fatty & Co designed and fabricated a 10-meter-wide, 7-meter-tall amphitheater featuring a circular LED floor as the primary set for the Lakers Media Day press shoot. I oversaw team management, fabrication workflows, production timelines, installation, and transportation logistics, guiding the project from build through final delivery.

Taylor Swift exhibit at the Grammy Museum, 2023

In 2022, Fatty & Co recreated a concert set from one of Taylor Swift’s performances as part of an immersive exhibition at the GRAMMY Museum. I oversaw fabrication, production coordination, and installation, ensuring accurate translation of the original stage environment into a museum context.

Chess Set for Jena Rose Music Video, 2022

Fatty & Co fabricated and assembled a complete 2-meter-tall chess set, including a functioning clock timer, for the production of Jena Rose’s music video “Checkmate.”

Fatty & Co. was established in 2021 in the fabrication shop of Houndstooth Warehouse. What started as internal support for shoots and events in the space evolved into a full-service fabrication company serving film and entertainment productions across Los Angeles. We specialize in scenic painting, carpentry, metal fabrication, and foam carving. We built our reputation on executing complex projects on extremely tight timelines.

Houndstooth Studios, 2018-2022

In 2018, I leased and transformed a 14,000 sq ft warehouse in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles into a live/work creative community space. The project integrated artist studios, a cyclorama, and a full fabrication shop, creating an environment that supported both production and experimentation. Over the years, the space hosted music video shoots, art exhibitions, concerts, dance performances, and community-driven events, functioning as a collaborative hub for artists, performers, and creative production.

Boxouse

Connie’s House

Boxouse was founded in 2014 in response to the housing crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area. The project focused on converting shipping containers into off-grid tiny homes and developing modular village prototypes in Oakland. As co-founder, I helped lead design, fabrication, and implementation, guiding the company through the Silicon Valley startup incubator Y Combinator.
